West Virginia Interfaith Power & Light is a state affiliate of the national Interfaith Power & Light organization which was founded in 1998. Our West Virginia affiliate began its work in 2015 with informational meetings in Wheeling, Charleston, Huntington, and Beckley, and continued with the sponsorship or co-sponsorship of related events in the Charleston region until we received official status with a seed grant award from the national office in the spring of 2017. From 2017 to the present day we have expanded our steering committee to include members from Huntington to the Eastern Panhandle, collaborated with numerous statewide organizations, hosted or cosponsored numerous educational events, and continue to expand our reach and spread across our beautiful Mountain State!
